Montreal Museum of Fine Arts

Idéeclic collaborated with the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts to design this significant project, destined to become the first interpretive and educational digital resource of the Museum. Idéeclic was mandated to design the bilingual information architecture and the graphic interfaces, to design and program the interactive functionalities, to implement a content management system, to import dynamically batches of contents in English and French, to train and support the Museum team in the creation and integration of the content, and to ensure the compliance with Web and digital best practices and accessibility standards.
This virtual exhibit was created within the framework of the Canadian Heritage Information Network Virtual Museum of Canada funding Program. It showcases more than 200 interactive records of works of art, complemented with fifty rich media elements. These works of art are presented using playful elegant menus and interfaces. Users can access them with the help of advanced filtering and sorting tools. The virtual exhibit includes five educational interactive games as well as proposed lesson plans for teachers. A user account module enables users to register and use the database to create annotated work folders in the system for research, study and teaching.
