Double Take: Portraits of Intriguing Canadians

Between October 2011 and March 2012, Idéeclic worked with Library and Archives Canada to develop a highly interactive touchscreen-based activity, designed to compliment their new travelling exhibition Double Take: Portraits of Intriguing Canadians.

This exhibition features a series of interesting portraits of Canadian personalities (for example, former Prime Minister Kim Campbell, musician Joni Mitchell, and environmentalist David Suzuki). Using the interactive kiosk, visitors can learn more information about the people featured in the portraits, and view additional images relating to the works. Visitors can also select three people they would like to have dinner with, and email themselves the information from the exhibition.

The interactive was successfully launched along with the exhibit at the Confederation Centre Art Gallery in Charlottetown, P.E.I., in March, 2012. It will travel to different locations in Canada until 2014.
